Google today announced the new Nexus 7, which was first launched in the US last week, is now available in Canada. If you’re in the country, you can now purchase the device directly from Google Play.
The Canadian prices are as follows: $229.00 CAD for the 16GB version and $269.00 CAD for the 32GB version. There is also free shipping, but it’s only available for a limited time. The launch also includes the new Nexus 7 Sleeve, which retails for $29.99 CAD.
Given that the US dollar is currently stronger than the Canadian dollar, these prices shouldn’t be too much of a surprise. The difference in pricing for the sleeve is negligible, but even for the tablets, we’re only talking about a few bucks.
